It looks like 2023 could be a good year for fans of Sony’s Spider-Man-centric Marvel universe. In fact, Sony Pictures has announced the release dates of two untitled Marvel films that will hit theaters that year: the June 23 and October 6, respectively.
In a press release, Sony announced that has reserved two 2023 dates for untitled Sony movies./Marvel Universe. This is in addition to a third production that was previously announced. We speak more specifically of Kraven the Hunter, whose premiere is scheduled for next January 13, 2023.
No titles or more details, it is difficult to know much more about what these other two films will offer. We know that Olivia Wilde has a project in the works, that may or may not be Spider-Woman, and there have been rumors throughout the years of other characters in the spotlight like Silver Sable, Black Cat, Nightwatch, Madame Web and Jackpot. Given the box office success, another Venom movie is likely to be on the table as well.
Currently, the only other known Sony movie in the Marvel universe is Mobius, which It will be released on January 28, 2022.
On the other hand, and curiously, one of the untitled films is scheduled for October 6, 2023, the same date Disney had for a MCU movie that has recently been delayed. It is possible that it is a collaboration, or that Disney has chosen to change the release date to avoid the two projects overlapping.
For now, we have Venom: There will be Carnage, of which we already know the first figures. And these are so spectacular, that has outpaced rivals like Fast & Furious 9 and No Time to Die.
