LONDON, Oct 25 (Reuters) – Britain’s Co-operative Bank confirmed on Monday that it had expressed interest in the possible purchase of TSB from Spain’s Banco de Sabadell.
The bank said it sent a letter to Banco de Sabadell, but that there are currently no talks between the two banks.
Sabadell said on Saturday that its board of directors has rejected an offer from Co-operative Bank for its British subsidiary, after Sky News advanced the news of the rapprochement.
