A video posted on the official account of the American aerospace company, Blue Origin, shows Canadian actor William Shatner marveling at the view of Earth from his mission to space aboard the New Shepard rocket, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Shatner, famous for his role as Captain Kirk in ‘Star Trek,’ the 1960s science fiction series, was captured along with the four crew members floating in weightlessness in awe and excitement as they gazed at the planet.
In the video clip, 90-year-old Shatner is heard repeating “Oh Jesus!” as his crewmates approach the windows to witness the view from space.
The journey, which lasted approximately 11 minutes, has passed the Kármán line, the internationally recognized limit of space, and was recorded for a documentary.
The actor has become the oldest person to travel to space, after the record set in July by 82-year-old pioneer pilot Wally Funk.
