“The volume of Russia’s international reserves has exceeded $ 618.2 billion for September 1, 2021, and it is the record that the Bank of Russia had never achieved in its history, “says the controlling body after reviewing the holdings.
With reserves growing by $ 235 billion since 2015, Russia ranks fifth after China, Japan, Switzerland and India, reads the statement.
These types of reservations include highly liquid assets comprising monetary gold, foreign currencies and special drawing rights assets, which are at the disposal of the Central Bank of Russia and the Government.
