Mexico City, Oct 1 (EFE News) .- Mexico added 32,930.9 million dollars in remittances between January and August, an increase of 24.76% compared to the same period in 2020 after the eighth month of the year will reach a record of $ 4,743.6 million.
The amount of remittances between January and August last was higher than the 26,396 million dollars of the same period of a year ago, the Bank of Mexico specified this Friday in its monthly report.
The average remittance between January and August was 373 dollars, 10.4% higher than in the same period of 2020 -when it was 338 dollars-, and the number of operations went from 78.04 million to 88.21 million.

This August, Mexico reported record remittances of $ 4,743.6 million, higher than the previous maximum in July of $ 4,540 million.
